5-LAYER BLOWN FILM EXTRUSION

Technology for producing complex multilayer plastic films.

For those applications where a strongly improved Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR) and/or Water Vapor Transmission Rate (WVTR) are needed whilst keeping a product that can fulfill the future requirements in terms of recyclability we are able to offer our barrier films and bags.

These barrier-films are extruded inside of our clean rooms on a state of the art 5-layer Coex Blown Film Extrusion line.

For the barrier layer itself, multiple components can be used but most common are EVOH and PA. Ask us how we can help you to find your packaging solution.

Advantages of 5 layers:

  • Superior barrier properties (gas, odor, moisture).
  • Better mechanical strength and tear resistance.
  • Possibility to combine different polymers.

Applications:

  • Packaging for products requiring good OTR or WVTR values
  • Medical- and pharmaceutical packaging
  • Film thickness: 50–200 µm
  • Tube film: 320 mm to 650 mm
  • Bags: Width 320-650mm and length 150-2000mm

Polyethylene packaging

Our facilities are ISO certified, guaranteeing polyethylene bags and tube for use in the most demanding cleanroom applications. Upon request, we can supply certified sterilized products, tailor-made to customer specifications.
